Love Marie Payawal Ongpauco, better known by her screen name Heart Evangelista, is a Chinese-Filipino actress, TV show host, singer, VJ, and an endorser.
Born on February 14, 1985 to restaurateurs Reynaldo Ongpauco and Cecilia Payawal, Heart is the youngest in her family, with two brothers and four sisters. She grew up in Foster City, California, in the United States where she attended Audubon Elementary School. At age ten, her family moved back to the Philippines, and she transferred to Colegio San Agustin-Makati in Makati City. When she began pursuing her childhood dream of becoming an actress, she continued her high school education at ABS-CBN's Distance Learning Center.
She dated actor Jericho Rosales for 2 years which had a controversy between Evangelista's parents. She is now currently dating GMA-7 actor, Daniel Matsunaga.
